So What?

My politics are not complicated. Essentially, I believe humankind is one family and the earth is our common home. For me, the word “non-partisan” does not mean to remain silent about political issues, it means to defend everyone’s human rights by the same standard.

OF COURSE, feeding and housing everyone makes it harder to balance the budget.

OF COURSE, it is harder for businesses to amass wealth if they have to be responsible to their workers and to the earth!

OF COURSE, America will not be as ruthlessly powerful if we are good neighbors to the rest of the world!

SO WHAT? Are those not the price tags for being ethical human beings?

We are only ethical if our concerns reach beyond our our own self interest and national boundaries.

We are only honest if our search for truth reaches beyond our own creed.

We are ONLY true artists when the whole of nature is our tuning fork for beauty.
